Students are introduced to the massage therapy industry, licensing requirements in Texas, and the school’s curriculum. Seating is limited for the workshop, which takes place at the school’s location in San Antonio. The Morning Program offers a comprehensive curriculum covering various massage techniques, anatomy, physiology, kinesiology, pathology, business practices, and professional ethics. Additionally, students engage in an internship to gain practical experience.

Express Day Program Details

The Express Day Program offers a condensed 18-week curriculum for those seeking a quicker path to becoming a massage therapist. Similar to the Morning Program, it includes an introductory workshop and covers a comprehensive curriculum. The Express Day Program also provides internship opportunities for hands-on experience.

Tuition and Financial Aid Options

Tuition costs vary depending on the program chosen. The Morning Program’s tuition is $4,500, while the Express Day Program’s tuition is $7,300. The school offers various financial aid options, including payment plans, Texas Workforce Solutions for qualifying individuals, and GI Bill benefits for veterans who qualify.

River City School of Massage Therapy is a family-owned and operated institution founded in February 2006 by Kathie and Mike Maloney. The Director of Massage Therapy Training is Michael Maloney. The school is accredited by the state of Texas and provides a state-approved 500-hour supervised course of instruction in massage therapy led by licensed massage therapy instructors.
